Griffith Foods Shares Update on 2030 Aspirations

Alsip, IL — Today, Griffith Foods released its 2024 Sustainability Data and Disclosures Report, offering an update on the company’s continued progress toward their 2030 Aspirations—ambitious goals designed to nourish the world sustainably. Guided by its Purpose to “Blend Care and Creativity to Nourish the World,” Griffith Foods is scaling its impact by imbedding sustainability into business and partnering to build a food system that offers delicious, nutritious, regenerative and affordable food.

Key Highlights from the 2024 Sustainability Report Include:

Griffith Foods is actively embedding its 2030 Aspirations into its global business strategy.

  • Partnering to Create Sustainable Food System Networks,
  • Developing a Nutritious and Sustainable Portfolio, and
  • Creating New Markets and Serving the Underserved.

Learning Together

  • Launched internal training and learning tools to align global teams with 2030 Aspirations.
  • Hosted a global Aspirations Summit to share strategies and build momentum.

Scaling Regenerative Agriculture

  • Completed the first year of a regenerative agriculture wheat pilot in Ontario, Canada and launched a new pilot for parsley in the UK.
  • Promoted a compost pilot at a processing location in Colombia to transform waste into biologically rich compost.
  • Pilots emphasized the value of transparent collaboration and on-farm technical and financial support, setting the stage to scale regenerative agriculture efforts globally.

Advancing Nutritious & Sustainable Product Development

  • Set nutrition criteria for raw materials – fortification, organic, reduction, elimination – and 50% met the criteria, helping increase positive nutrients or replace nutrients of concern in products while ensuring flavor and functionality.
  • Surpassed the goal of 50% of products meeting or exceeding external Global Nutrition Criteria —reaching 56% in FY24.
  • Integrated nutrition innovations into product design, including sodium reduction and adding positive nutrients like fiber.

Expanding Access to Nutritious Foods

  • Addressed critical gaps in health and nutrition, while maintaining cultural relevancy and accessibility, through regional innovations such as NutriAmor®, which addresses malnutrition among pregnant and nursing mothers, children, and the elderly in Colombia.
  • Aligned with its 2030 Aspirations to create nutritious, sustainable, and accessible products for underserved markets, Giffith Foods is working to build from the success of NutriAmor® and this model to not only help feed individuals in need but also foster a positive cycle of impact in communities.
