Griffith Foods prioritizes the wellbeing and fulfillment of our people. We support them to be their true selves at work, offer career development opportunities, and provide ongoing learning and development. As we work toward our 2030 Aspirations, we know our people fuel innovation and will enable us to achieve these goals.
As part of the rollout of our 2030 Aspirations, our regions focused on internal education and our principles for achieving our goals, such as regenerative mindset, to ensure understanding and alignment across all business units and levels of our organization. From coffee chats at town halls to sustainability-themed movie screenings, the programs deepened our employees’ awareness around the topics of sustainability in business, elements of nutrition, and the challenges we face in our global food system.
The Asia-Pacific (APAC) region built on the deep-dive presentations shared at quarterly town halls with multiple, interactive, and engaging activations focused on each Aspiration. For example, the Jigsaw Challenge ran from May to July 2024 and encouraged all three business units to compete in a digital jigsaw puzzle of visuals representing the Aspirations. In addition to speed, participation level from each site was a factor. The winners selected a charity aligned to each Aspiration including Tree-Nation, where Griffith Foods funded the planting of Agarwood trees in Thailand, donated Custom Culinary products to SOS (Children’s Foundation), and the Orphanage Foundation of Thailand. To highlight elements of Aspiration 2, Developing a Nutritious and Sustainable Portfolio, APAC team members received “nutrition dice” highlighting the colorful diversity of fruits and vegetables on each side. With a roll of the dice, team members were encouraged to add a splash of color to their meals. The manufacturing sites in China rolled the dice and enjoyed healthy meals in the cafeteria the next day that correlated with the dice color.

Additionally, we piloted the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) Academy’s Introduction to Sustainability in Business Learning Journey online course. This self-paced course was coupled with facilitated group discussions to share learnings and discuss its applications for Griffith Foods. Understanding the business proposition for environmental and social impact, as well as seeing case studies from other companies on this journey, was inspiring. More than 50 associates across Nutrition, Culinary, Human Resources, Supply Chain, and Purchasing Teams joined the global cohorts. The curriculum was well-received, and we plan to continue offering the training moving forward.
Throughout 2024, employees have deepened their understanding of how our three Aspirations will steer transformation at Griffith Foods, foster positive global change within our food community, and pave the way for a healthier, more sustainable, and accessible future.
