Jennifer Convery, Group President of Griffith Foods North America, was named to Crain’s Chicago Business 2019 Notable Women Executives Over 50 list. Recognition on the list was based on the individual’s leadership achievements, positive influence on the business and the community, and involvement in other organizations.
Crain’s is a leading source of news, analysis and information on business in metropolitan Chicago for decision-makers in the private and public sectors. The group publishes a weekly business magazine that provides analysis, commentary, special reports and features.
Jennifer was specifically recognized for her focus on inclusiveness and diversity of perspectives, empowering individuals to create positive change, and driving company innovation and transformation while increasing personal and professional growth.
Her efforts to spearhead and grow Griffith Women Leaders (GWL) was noted, along with Griffith Foods North America’s work in health and nutrition portfolio transformation and shared value development.
As evidence of her leadership, GWL was recently recognized as an International Women’s Day (IWD) Best Practice for global activities associated with IWD’s 2019 theme of #BalanceforBetter. GWL’s case study, which is featured on International Women’s Day’s website, focused on gender parity and ways to sustain gender equality efforts throughout the year.
Jennifer also supports the Open Hiring Institute, modifying Griffith Foods’ hiring guidelines and working with local Illinois high schools to provide training opportunities. She sits on the Board of Directors for Dot Foods and Alzheimer’s Association – Greater Illinois Chapter, and is an active member with the Women’s Foodservice Forum.
