The shelf life is at 12+ months at ambient temperatures, and non-hydrated.

Hydrated products can be refrigerated, vacuum-packed, or frozen depending on preparation:
- Refrigerated/vacuumed as well as slacked hydrated CPS products, have a 7-day shelf life (SL) for ready-to-eat (RTE) and 14 days for ready-to-cook (RTC).
- Cooked & refrigerated hydrated CPS products have a 14-day shelf life (SL) for RTE and 21 days for RTC.
- Frozen shelf life of 12 months+.

Versaterra can be cooked at high heat (deep fry, pan fry, wok fry) and will develop a rich, golden-brown exterior with appealing caramelized edges—mimicking the savory sear of traditional meats while enhancing flavor and visual appeal.

Designed for chefs and product developers, Versaterra can be hydrated back of house, or further processed by manufacturers.
