At Griffith Foods, we’ve always believed that sustainability should go beyond intention, it should translate into real, tangible impact. Today, that belief comes to life with the delivery of the first rural Early Childhood Development Center (CDI) in Marinilla, as part of the evolution of our SÚMATE program in Colombia.
From Recycling Waste to Creating Opportunities
SÚMATE began as a recycling initiative, a collective effort to better manage waste. But over time, it became something much bigger. Today, it represents a circular economy model that transforms waste into real opportunities for communities. This year alone, together with our employees and their families, we recovered more than 300 tons of waste—proving that small, consistent actions can lead to meaningful change.
And this center is a reflection of that journey.
A Space That Impacts What Matters Most
The Early Childhood Development Center will benefit 25 children between the ages of 1 and 5 in the rural area of Alto del Chocho, Marinilla. More than just infrastructure, it is a space designed to support one of the most critical stages of human development: early childhood. A safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can grow, learn, and build the foundation for their future. Because when we invest in early childhood, we invest in everything.
