Sustainably Sourced Ingredients
Our transformation starts with the ingredients we source. From regeneratively grown or sustainability certified raw materials to working to ensure no deforestation and rights of workers are protected, we work with farmers, suppliers and other stakeholders to improve on-farm and processing practices throughout our value chain.
TEROVA, our wholly owned subsidiary, is focused on supplying fully traceable and sustainably certified spices, herbs, botanicals, and innovative ingredients from farm to our factories. They focus on a farmer-first approach to source ingredients including red chilis, sage, turmeric, and pepper. Farmers receive education, on farm training, community investments and additional incentives to implement more sustainable farming practices – improving soil, quality, yields, and livelihoods.

Meeting Global Standards for Nutrition
We are setting high standards for nutrition for ingredients and our finished products and building portfolios for alternative proteins. We base our nutrition criteria on best practices from globally recognized organizations such as the WHO, FDA and Public Health England. These external global nutrition standards are being incorporated into our product development process for all innovation projects, meaning we adhere to upper limits for sodium, sugar and/or saturated fat and incorporate positive nutrients such as fiber, vitamins and minerals.
We’ve surpassed our goal for 50% of our finished products to meet or exceed external global nutrition standards by 2030.
