Our Action Plan to Nourish the World

At Griffith Foods, we’ve always seen ourselves as a vehicle for the greater good – vision set in motion more than 100 years ago by our founders, and one that continues to guide us today, driven by our commitment to nourishing the world. By 2030, we aim to create meaningful, scalable impact through a transformational approach, driving positive global change with a regenerative mindset.

That’s why we developed our 2030 Aspirations, which are specific areas of focus within our Purpose of blending care and creativity to nourish the world. But we know we can’t do it alone. Achieving this vision requires strong partnerships, and together, we will catalyze a regenerative, healthy, and accessible future for all—transforming lives for good.

We have three sets of Aspirations that will guide our transformation:

We aim to build sustainable food systems that restore nature and improve livelihoods. This includes collaborating with customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders to scale regenerative agriculture and achieve net-zero supply chains.Our goal is to create products that positively impact people and the planet. We achieve this by offering raw materials and developing blends that meet high standards for nutrition and sustainability, enhancing our customers’ product profiles.We strive to develop nutritious, affordable, and accessible products for underserved markets. By leveraging our expertise, we open new market segments and promote health through consumer-preferred, affordable products.

This means moving from simply doing no harm to actively doing more good. To achieve this aspiration, we have two focus areas: regenerative agriculture and net zero supply chains.

What is Regenerative Agriculture?

Regenerative Agriculture is a way of farming based on the principles of living systems and their self-renewing processes and to guide practices of sustainable food production that actively improves ecosystems and farmer livelihoods.

Regenerative approaches focus on increasing biodiversity, enriching soil health, improving watersheds, capturing carbon and improving livelihoods. For example, implementing farming practices that keep more carbon in the soil (ie; sequestration) globally by just 2% would help return greenhouse gas levels to safe levels, making regenerative agriculture a significant solution to slowing climate change.

Furthermore, regenerative agriculture can improve livelihoods by building capacity for prosperity for all individuals along the supply chain by recognizing that human communities are also an integral part of our living world and our agricultural system. 

How Does Griffith Foods Contribute to Regenerative Agriculture?

At Griffith Foods, we are committed to advancing regenerative agriculture, with a goal of putting 1 million acres on the path to regeneration by 2030. Through strong partnerships with suppliers, customers, governments, and NGOs, we are scaling impact across diverse agricultural supply chains—from large-scale farms to smallholder growers. What Does Net Zero Mean?

Net zero refers to a state in which the greenhouse gases going into the atmosphere are balanced by removal out of the atmosphere. 

Net-zero emissions, or “net zero,” will be achieved when all greenhouse gas emissions released by human activities are counterbalanced by removing carbon from the atmosphere in a process known as carbon removal.

How Does Griffith Foods Play a Part in Net Zero?

At Griffith Foods, we recognize that achieving Net Zero is a shared responsibility—one that aligns with the global commitment to addressing climate change. As part of this effort, we are taking action to reduce carbon emissions across our operations and supply chains, contributing to the larger goal of global Drawdown—the point where greenhouse gas emissions begin to decline year after year.

That’s why we are partnering with customers and suppliers to support their journey to Net Zero, building Sustainable Food System Networks that drive meaningful change. By working together, we can create resilient supply chains, lower emissions, and shape a more sustainable future for all.

By leveraging unique ingredients and sourcing practices, we craft delicious blends and recipes that meet the highest standards of nutrition and sustainability.

Our approach is built on three core pillars: Nutrition, Alternative Proteins, and Sustainable Sourcing.

Nutrition: We prioritize raw materials that enhance nutritional value and develop products that align with global health and wellness targets. Our goal is to positively impact on the nutrition profile of our customers worldwide.v

Alternative Proteins: As the demand for new alternative protein sources grows, we partner across the food system to support innovation in alternative proteins, helping create healthy and delicious diets while ensuring a scalable and reliable protein supply for the future.

Sustainable Sourcing: We are dedicated to sourcing raw materials responsibly, improving environmental, social, and economic outcomes across our supply chain. This includes supporting recognized sustainability certifications, promoting responsible sourcing practices, and driving the adoption of regenerative agriculture.

Through strong partnerships and a shared vision, we are shaping the future of food—one that is both nutritious and sustainable for generations to come.

Our goal is to create new markets and reach underserved communities with products that meet the needs of consumers who may not have had access to them before.

We are achieving this by using our expertise in product development to open new market segments and partner with customers who share our mission of reaching those in need. By focusing on affordability, we create products that are both nutritious and appealing to consumers in underserved markets. These products are designed to improve health and nutrition, with a focus on areas like heart health, gut health, immunity, and more.

Some of the groups we prioritize include children, the elderly, and those in emergency food programs. We also work to ensure that our products meet the needs of people who face barriers to access, whether due to economic status, geographic location, or other factors. By making food not only accessible but also affordable, we help ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, can access nutritious and delicious food that supports a healthy and balanced life. Through these efforts, we are committed to making a positive impact on global health, one product at a time.
