Griffith Foods is excited to announce our new partnership with Protein Industries Canada (PIC), an industry-led, not-for-profit organization created to position Canada as a global source of high-quality plant protein and plant-based co-products.<\/p>

Through this partnership, we will be collaborating with Persall Fine Foods and k2MILLING to research and develop plant-based protein ingredients, such as flours and texturized protein blends. These ingredients will be used by a variety of food processors across the value chain. <\/p>

\u201cThis project truly exemplifies a strengthening of our agrifood ecosystem,\u201d Protein Industries Canada CEO Bill Greuel said. \u201cTogether the consortium will develop ingredients that work for other companies wanting to enter the growing flexitarian market. They are contributing to Canada\u2019s food and ingredient sector and bringing value to a wide array of companies\u2014including meat processors, a group many don\u2019t always associate with the plant-protein sector. As the demand for diverse protein options increases, it is an opportunity for innovative companies like these to become global leaders and set Canada apart in the protein market.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>
